How this is scored
38/100

The interior looks like a neglected old office.

The property score is dragged down by a dingy interior, a cramped location, and a lack of amenities. The only redeeming quality is the spacious capacity, but that's not enough to save it. Unless you're a fan of bland, uninspired decor, you'll find the atmosphere here to be a letdown.

Expect poor service and a dirty environment.

The service at The Play Pen is a major issue. The door service is non-existent, bar service is slow, and the staff shows little respect for customers. The only slightly redeeming quality is the cleanliness, but it's not enough to make up for the overall lack of professionalism. If you value good service, look elsewhere.

Cheap drinks and cheaper dances, but don't expect much Went on a Saturday with some buddies and honestly the $20 dances are unbeatable for the price. The vibe is pretty dead though—feels more like a basement bar than a club. The place could use a serious cleaning, and the soft drinks get old fast, but if you're just looking to kill time and not drop a ton of cash, it does the job.

Not what I expected for a Friday night out My friends dragged me here for my birthday and I was honestly disappointed. The atmosphere is pretty grim—dark, cramped, and honestly kind of dingy. No alcohol made it feel less like a night out and more like we were just sitting in someone's garage. The dancers seemed checked out and the whole place just felt off.

It's an option if you're desperate, but that's about it I've been a few times because it's one of the only spots open late on weekends around here. The private rooms are a nice touch if you want some space, but the cleanliness is rough and the overall atmosphere is pretty depressing. At least the prices won't destroy your wallet, but there are reasons it's so cheap.
