Solid neighborhood spot, drinks are cheap Been going to the Barrel for years. It's not fancy—it's a bar that happens to have dancers, not the other way around. Jukebox music is honestly kind of fun, keeps things unpredictable. Drinks are reasonably priced, which matters when you're here regularly. Just go early or mid-evening if you want a chill vibe.

Casual and a little rough around the edges Went with a friend on a Saturday night and it got pretty rowdy with the younger crowd. The place is clean enough after the renovations, but it still feels industrial and bare-bones. Drinks aren't expensive, which is the main upside. Wouldn't call it a destination, but it's fine if you're in the neighborhood.

Fun for what it is, but safety concerns linger The Barrel has character—jukebox dancers, pool table, regulars who actually know each other. Vibe is laid-back during the day. That said, heard about the stabbing and it's hard to shake that. Security is there, but it's not the kind of place that feels locked down. Good cheap drinks, but you're not paying for luxury here.
